Happening

I am playing theater since last september. We had two performances in june to show our output to the public. That was a great experience. The first performance was very exciting with lots of stage fright. The second performance went so smooth and I didn’t felt even a little nervous before. Guess you can call me an expert now.

Reading

I finished Unter Wasser by Tara Menon and I loved it. There is a cute little bookshop a few streets away. I passed the book in the storefront a few times and felt in love with the cover. It also triggert the song of the same name from Farin Urlaub in my head, especially the line:

Ich wollte jeden Tag so leben, als obs der letzte wär
Die Welt aus ihren Angeln heben – jetzt ertrinke ich im Meer

I wanted to live every day as if it were my last
To turn the world upside down – now I’m drowning in the sea

I just had to buy it. Couldn’t resist any longer. And I don’t regret.

Currently I’m reading:

• Eigensinn macht Spaß by Hermann Hesse – I like it a lot. There will be a longer review on that one.
• Die Arbeit der Liebe (Love’s Work) by Gillian Rose – ufff, well, it’s not an easy read. It is dense and deeply philosophical. I can’t fully grasp her writing, but sometimes I like being challenged, so it’s ok.

Watching

I finished Nobody wants this. This show was fun! And with Adam Brody back on screen. Now I do feel the urge to rewatch OC California. I am already hearing the opening song in my head … California here we come ❤️‍🔥
